In 2003 Russian and Iran made a joint issue representing Caspian Sea Fauna.
These are the 2 stamps issued for the event, and this is the Russian version of them (text in Russian).

Issued in 2003 - Russia & Iran

2.50 stamp, the European Sturgeon,
Huso huso, endangered species that is highly fished mostly to make caviar. This is a fish that can reach gigantic size and age (more than 100 years) , but it is of really slow growing, hence it got threatened to extinction.

2.50 stamp, Representing a Pusa caspica or Phoca caspica. This is a small seal (compared to others), and what's most special about it is that it is endemic to the Caspian Sea.
