Royal Hunting Reserve 2007 - PT

I haven't posted anything here for a while! Check this beautiful sheet from a set issued in 2007, representing existing fauna in the National (ex-Royal) hunting reserve in Mafra.
It was created in 1747 under the rule of D. João V, along with the construction of Mafra Palace, meant for hunting and leisure activities of the royal family.
Today it is considered a forest and hunting reserve, with regulated access to leisure, sport and hunting.
